Salary: £25,989 - £26,824 pro rata (£13.47 - £13.90) pay award pending
Hours of work: Hours of work: 30 hours 25mins per week, Monday to Friday 8.40am - 3.15pm with (30mins unpaid lunch) term time only (38 weeks)

All about the role:
Fynamore Primary School are seeking to appoint a dedicated, empathetic, and resilient 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join our friendly, welcoming team. This role will be to support a Child Looked After (CLA) who holds an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). This pupil requires tailored academic, emotional, and social support to thrive in our inclusive school community. The successful candidate will be working within a skilled and caring team. They will be expected to provide support to a named pupil 1:1 in small groups or a whole class setting.
The successful applicant will need to:
- be patient and nurturing, alongside being firm and fair
- be a team player with a 'can do' attitude
- be willing to embrace and support the ethos of our school
- be able to communicate well and build supportive relationships with staff, pupils and parents
- have high expectations in everything they do
- have a desire to improve their practice further
- understand that some children may have emotional barriers to learning that need to be supported
- be able to support children to overcome emotional triggers in a supportive and calm way
- have professional communication skills and be able to interact with outside agencies.
- deliver specific interventions outlined in the pupil's EHCP.
- support the pupil's emotional well-being using whole school nurture-based approaches.
- modify classroom tasks to match the pupil's learning pace and needs.
- use positive behaviour strategies to help the pupil regulate their emotions.
