About the roleLevel 2 Teaching Assistant (Full time)
Cambridge
£93 to £105 per day (salary is dependent on experience and/or qualifications)
This role will begin in May 2026.
The School and RoleWe are looking for a commited and motivated Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join a supportive staff team.
The successful candidate will work alongside teachers to provide high-quality learning support, helping pupils reach their full potential in a safe, inclusive, and purposeful environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and learning activities
- Assist in the planning and preparation of lessons, resources, and displays
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils, including those with additional needs
- Monitor and record pupils' progress and provide feedback to teachers
- Help maintain a positive, orderly classroom environment
- Promote inclusion and support the emotional and social development of pupils
- Supervise pupils during breaks, lunchtimes, and on school trips as required
- Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
- Full DBS clearance
- 2 recent references to support your employment with children
- A full UK driving licence and access to a car
- Experience working with children in a school or similar setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A patient, caring, and proactive approach to supporting learning
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
- Excellent daily rates paid using the PAYE system. (Daily rate is subject to your scale rate, experience in role and qualifications which will be discussed at the point of registration).
