Teaching Assistant

We are currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to join a Primary School in Telford. This role will involve supporting a Year 6 class, working closely with the class teacher to help maintain a safe, engaging, and positive learning environment.

This position is due to start in May 2026 and will continue until July 2026. However, there is a possibility for this to be extended. The working hours are 8:30 am - 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday.

The role will involve supporting the class teacher throughout the day, as well as delivering small group intervention sessions focused on phonics. The school uses the Little Wandle scheme; therefore, you must have experience using this.

Required Skills and Experience for this Teaching Assistant role:

• Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification
• Good curriculum knowledge of Key Stage 2 (KS2)
• Experience working in Nurseries or Primary Schools as a Teaching Assistant or LSA
• Recent UK school experience
• A DBS on the update service or issued within the last 12 months
• A minimum of 2 excellent references
