Hours: Monday to Friday, Term Time Only
Pay: £95-£110 per day (dependent on experience)

A welcoming secondary school in Derby is looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young people and is seeking consistent, school-based experience rather than short-term or day-to-day cover.

The school provides a structured and supportive learning environment, where clear routines and collaborative staff teams ensure Teaching Assistants play a vital role in pupils' progress, engagement, and overall development.

Role

• Support pupils during lessons across a variety of subjects

• Work one-to-one and in small groups to reinforce learning

• Assist teachers with classroom activities and behaviour routines

• Encourage focus, confidence, and positive behaviour

• Help maintain a calm, inclusive, and structured learning environment

Requirements

• Experience working with young people (e.g. , school, youth work, mentoring, coaching, care)

• A patient, reliable, and proactive approach

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Interest in long-term work within education

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply
