• Salary: Derby City Support Staff Grade E (pts ) Salary £27,694 FTE p/a, pro rata with 3 hours PPA cover; Grade G (pts ) Salary £33,143 FTE p/a, pro rata
• Hours per week: 35 hrs (Mon, Tue, Thurs, Fri 8.30am-3.45pm; Wed 8.30am-5.00pm)
• Weeks per year: 39
• Start Date: As soon as possible
• Age Range: 2 11 years

Responsibilities

• Assist with supervision of pupils in the classroom, both in groups and one to one as required
• Support teaching staff and pupils across the school
• Manage children with a range of educational and emotional needs, demonstrating resilience, calm, patience, kindness and empathy
• Provide class cover while teachers take their PPA time

Qualifications

• Qualified and experienced teaching assistant with recent experience in KS1 and KS2 phases
• Strong working knowledge of KS1 and KS2 curriculum
• Cache Level 3 Diploma in Teaching & Learning or equivalent qualification
• Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship offered for international applicants)
