Teaching Assistant - Primary & Secondary Schools - Somerset

Everest Recruitment & Services Ltd is recruiting enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants to support Primary and Secondary Schools across Taunton, Bridgwater, Wellington, Yeovil, Minehead, Burnham-on-Sea, Highbridge and the wider Somerset area.

We regularly receive vacancies for day-to-day cover, long-term classroom support, one-to-one support, SEN support and general Teaching Assistant roles throughout the academic year.

This temporary agency role is suitable for experienced Teaching Assistants, Learning Support Assistants (LSAs), Classroom Assistants and individuals with relevant school-based experience looking for full-time, part-time or flexible term-time work.

Key Responsibilities

Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons and classroom activities.

Provide one-to-one and small group support where required.

Assist pupils with learning, communication and personal development.

Help maintain a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment.

Support pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) where appropriate.

Prepare classroom resources and learning materials.

Supervise pupils during classroom activities and break times when required.

Follow school safeguarding, behaviour and health & safety policies.

Work collaboratively with teachers and school staff.

This is a temporary agency position. Assignments are offered based on school requirements, and hours cannot be guaranteed.
