Job Description
Complex Needs Teaching Assistant - Specialist SEN School

We are recruiting for an experienced Complex Needs Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEN school in NW4 on a full-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to support pupils with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD) and complex needs in a well-established school with a highly supportive team. Working closely with the class teacher and therapists, you will provide tailored 1:1 and small group support, helping pupils access learning, develop communication skills, and achieve their individual EHCP targets. The role will involve supporting with sensory activities, personal care, and moving and handling where required.

Requirements
  • Previous experience supporting children or young people with PMLD and complex needs
  • A good understanding of sensory learning and alternative communication methods such as PECS or Makaton
  • Experience with personal care and a willingness to support pupils with their daily needs
  • A calm, patient, and proactive approach
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
