The Opportunity:The successful post holder will take the lead in day-to-day administration for a cross-section of Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses within the School of Economics. They will handle complex information accurately and be able to provide proactive and comprehensive guidance relating to administrative procedures and policies to a range of audiences.
This post is full-time (35 hours per week); however, we are open to considering flexible working patterns. The role shall be based within the School of Economics at 30 Buccleuch Place. We are also open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working.
Your skills and attributes for success:Vocational qualifications (N/SVQ 3, ONC or equivalent) plus work experience in a relevant role; or School education to standard grade or equivalent plus relevant work experience.
Excellent IT skills in Microsoft Office particularly Excel as the role entails significant use of complex spreadsheets.
High levels of accuracy and attention to detail in both written and figure work.
Ability to plan and prioritise, work independently and also as part of a team.
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
