Job Description

Humanities Teacher -QTS - Staines area - September start - 1 term - 2 term

We are seeking an enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and inspiring Humanities Teacher to join our dedicated teaching team. The successful candidate will have a passion for engaging students in the study of humanities subjects, helping them develop critical thinking, analytical skills, and a deeper understanding of the world around them.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver high quality Humanities lessons that engage and challenge students.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students can thrive.
  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress effectively.
  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment activities.
  • Maintain high standards of classroom management and student behaviour.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external agencies to support student achievement and wellbeing.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • A degree in History, Geography, Religious Studies, or a related Humanities subject.
  • Experience teaching Humanities across the relevant key stages.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a commitment to academic excellence.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
