Job Description

Location: Exeter, Devon
Contract: Full-Time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM
Start Date: September


We are a specialist school in Exeter expanding our team and looking for a dedicated classroom teacher to join from September.


About the Role

Deliver core subjects to small groups (up to 6 students per class) with support from two learning mentors.



  • Plan and adapt lessons for students at lower academic levels (typically Key Stage 3).

  • Utilise regular PPA time built into your week.

  • Create a calm, inclusive, and engaging learning environment where students feel safe and supported.

  • Collaborate with a supportive team to tailor the curriculum to suit individual learner needs.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Fully qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent).

  • Previous experience with SEND or SEMH learners is an advantage.

  • Experience from either primary or secondary backgrounds is encouraged.

  • Understanding of trauma-informed practice, emotional regulation, and supporting neurodivergent learners.

  • Commitment to providing high-quality education while nurturing individual progress and personal development.

Salary
