Day-to-day of the role:

• Take full responsibility for managing a varied workload of professional self-employed clients.
• Prepare Income & Expenditure accounts from various sources including salary and rental income.
• Prepare personal tax returns and submissions to HMRC.
• Perform complex calculations involving pension tax and advise on related matters. Training will be provided in this area.
• Provide ad hoc tax advice as required.
• Develop close working relationships with clients and team members to ensure seamless service delivery.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Previous experience working for a UK firm of accountants is essential.
• ACCA/ACA/ATT/CTA qualified or time-barred, with a strong background in tax.
• Meticulous attention to detail and a keen ability to solve complex tax problems.
• Competency in using cloud-based systems and adapting to new IT systems.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to develop strong client relationships.
