In this role, you'll join a strong leadership team and collaborate across the firm on a wide range of engaging tax matters. With a diverse client portfolio and broad scope of work, the tax function prides itself on acting as trusted business advisor, not just tax specialist for their clients.

About the position
  • Lead and deliver complex tax advisory, planning, and compliance projects for a varied high-value client portfolio.
  • Partner with senior leadership to drive strategic growth initiatives for the tax practice.
  • Provide expert technical guidance on complex tax issues and develop innovative, commercially focused solutions.
  • Manage and review major tax planning assignments, including restructurings and succession planning.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships as a trusted advisor.
  • Mentor and develop team members, fostering high performance and accountability.
  • Represent the firm in interactions with Revenue and regulatory bodies, managing complex queries and audits.
  • Stay ahead of tax legislation and industry developments to support technical and strategic excellence.
  • Support business development, including opportunity identification and proposal preparation.
  • Contribute to firmwide initiatives, operational improvements, and service quality enhancement.
About the person
  • Proven experience in Corporate Tax or Mixed Tax within a professional practice environment at a senior management or director level.
  • Broad experience working with clients across multiple sectors, with the ability to adapt technical expertise to varied business contexts
  • Strong and up-to-date technical knowledge of Irish tax legislation, with the ability to interpret and apply complex tax rules effectively.
  • Demonstrated capability to conduct detailed research into complex areas of tax law and develop practical, commercially focused solutions.
  • Experience leading teams, managing multiple engagements, and mentoring junior colleagues to achieve high standards of performance and client service.
  • Strong relationship management skills, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality advice and building long-term client partnerships.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
