About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to take the next step in your career and join our thriving well-established Tax team. Our Irish Tax Group has grown to be one of the largest legal tax groups in Ireland. We advise global financial institutions, investment managers, Irish and international corporates and entrepreneurs on tax matters.

The Maples Irish Tax group has several of the leading tax advisors in Ireland including partners and associates at all levels. We offer exceptional exposure to global clients and an opportunity to excel in one of the most demanding and challenging areas of law.

The successful candidate will be:

• Part of the busy, collaborative and innovative tax team based in Dublin working with partners and other associates
• Working within the group to provide market leading tax advice on a diverse range of matters including corporate tax, financial transactions, VAT and tax disputes
• Advising on international transactions involving public companies, international banks and investment institutions
• Advising on Advising innovative Irish companies and high net worth individuals
• Collaborating with Maples tax professionals based in Ireland and Europe on international tax structures and developments
• Assisting on multidisciplinary teams drawn from the Maples Group locations across the globe including market leading funds, corporate and finance lawyers in many different jurisdictions
• Actively participating in our regular knowhow, knowledge sharing and practice development meetings
• Assisting in the development of Irish, EU and international tax through consultations with industry bodies and policymakers

EXPERIENCE What You Bring

Our Tax Group is built on a group of outstanding individuals, each of whom brings their own unique set of skills to collectively build a leading team. The successful candidate will have a desire to develop strong technical skills, an excellent work ethic and an interest in complex tax matters. The ideal candidate will have the ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues and work well in a team environment. The candidate's qualifications and experience will also include:

• Between one to five years' post qualification experience
• Experience as a tax adviser from a leading firm in Ireland or the UK
• Outstanding academics
• Excellent drafting skillsThe ability to work as part of a team and take an active part in sharing knowledge
