Tax Advisory - Senior Manager/Director

We are seeking a Senior Manager/Director in Tax Advisory to lead and manage tax advisory services within the professional services sector.

Description

• Provide expert tax advisory services to a diverse client portfolio within the professional services sector.
• Lead and manage complex tax projects, ensuring compliance with current tax regulations and laws including, Corporate restructuring and reorganisations, Business sales, acquisitions and transactions, share reorganisations and group structuring, exit planning and succession strategies
• Deliver specialist advice in R&D tax relief claims, including technical review and optimisation
• Support and advise clients through corporate restructuring, refinancing and transformation projects
• Identify tax risks and opportunities within client structures and propose commercially focused solutions
• Work collaboratively with audit and accounts teams to provide integrated advice
• Develop new advisory opportunities from the existing client base
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor.
• Oversee and mentor junior team members, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
• Identify and implement opportunities for tax planning and optimisation.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery of tax services.
• Keep updated with changes in tax legislation and ensure clients are informed of relevant updates.
• Contribute to the overall growth and success of the tax department in Leeds.

Profile

A successful Senior Manager in Tax Advisory should have:

• A professional qualification in tax or accountancy (e.g., CTA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent).
• Extensive knowledge and experience in tax advisory within the UK professional services sector.
• Proven ability to manage client relationships and deliver high-quality tax solutions.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop team members.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• A proactive approach to identifying and implementing tax planning opportunities.
