Role Purpose

To proactively map industry talent sources and identify and acquire key talent for the business. To build and maintain a pipeline of potential talent for each of the key construction and engineering business roles.

Key Functions
  • Map and maintain a current purview of the key construction and engineering business role talent across the industry. (List of potentials for acquisition and building of early communication and relationships).
  • Detail role and competency profiles for key vacancies and attract a suitable pool of candidates and apply Kirby Selection Process to pick the most appropriate with the Hiring Manager and HR Team.
  • Manage relationships with Recruitment Agencies and Head-hunters etc. to maximise value for Kirby.
Talent Acquisition Specialist Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the full recruitment cycle from identification of recruitment need through to
  • Working with hiring managers to establish hiring needs agreeing on recruitment strategy and time to hire.
  • Development of role and candidate profile with hiring managers.
  • Screening and interviewing candidates.
  • Advertising of roles through direct Social Media channels
  • Manage recruitment agency relationships.
  • Screening and shortlisting of CV's and applications.
  • Management of Recruitment Applicant Tracking System
  • Actively managing communications with candidates regarding progress and outcome of
  • recruitment process.
  • Setup of interviews - Microsoft Teams & face to face
  • Coordination of interview schedules, booking of interview rooms, preparation of interview
  • Representation at interviews with hiring managers, where required.
  • Ensuring interview admin is up to date and saved on internal system.
  • Salary negotiation offer and contract generation.
  • Pre-induction of new hire including pre-employment vetting, including reference checking,
  • medicals, visa etc.
  • Management of the onboarding process in conjunction with the designated HR Business
Necessary requirement of the Talent Acquisition Specialist
  • 5+ Years Talent Acquisition/Recruitment experience within the M&E Construction industry
  • with a demonstrated ability to deliver on large consistent volume of recruitment. Strong feel for and understanding of HR.
  • Strong and demonstrable industry network.
  • Professional Construction/HR Qualifications/Memberships.
  • Technical proficiency on a suite of Mechanical & Electrical roles within the industry with the
  • ability to determine what good looks like.
  • Strong IT Skills with regards to MS Office, Social Media Platforms & ATS.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate Talent Acquisition / Recruitment problems with an
  • efficient/innovative approach.
  • Ability to juggle and manage many priorities.
  • Prioritize and allocate time according to priority.
  • Assess relative risk and allocate time accordingly.
  • Using resources at disposal to best effect.
  • Advantageous to possess knowledge of HR general policies and procedures.
