Job Description

Echelon Data Centres was established in 2017 by the main principal of Aldgate Developments, a leading commercial property developer and owner of major commercial office buildings in Central London and Dublin. The objective was developing, operating, and owning a network of large-scale, responsibly designed, sustainably powered data centre campuses across the world to meet the rapidly expanding global demand for hyperscale data processing and storage solutions.

Echelon currently has seven data centre facilities either operational or in development across Ireland, the United Kingdom, and Spain with a combined capacity of approximately 1.25GW. The recent acquisition of a prime 37-acre site in Italy, marks the next step of Echelon's expansion into Continental Europe.

We are seeking an exceptional Talent Acquisition Specialist experienced in recruiting for professional, commercial, and project delivery roles within the data centre industry. This is a 12 month fixed term role.

About the Role

This role will be pivotal in building high performing teams to underpin our hyperscale data centre development and expansion programmes.

The successful candidate will partner closely with senior stakeholders across our development, delivery and corporate functions to deliver strategic, proactive hiring solutions in a highly competitive, international market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Talent Partnering
    • Partner with business leaders to understand resourcing plans and upcoming capability needs.
    • Act as a trusted advisor on market availability, role design, salary benchmarking, and hiring strategies within the data centre sector.
    • Support resource planning for multi site and multi country development programmes.
  • End to End Recruitment Delivery
    • Manage full cycle recruitment including onboarding support.
    • Develop high quality role briefs and candidate packs aligned to project and client needs.
    • Lead offer management.
  • Market Mapping & Talent Pipelining
    • Build market insight on data centre talent across Europe.
    • Build long term pipelines for critical roles using direct sourcing, referrals, industry networks, and targeted search.
    • Maintain awareness of competitor activity and mobility trends.
  • Stakeholder & Candidate Experience
    • Deliver a best in class candidate experience aligned to our employer brand and values.
    • Maintain strong, credible relationships with hiring managers, ensuring clear communication and delivery against agreed timelines.
    • Balance speed to hire with quality and cultural alignment.
  • Reporting, Process & Improvement
    • Use recruitment metrics to track performance, identify constraints and recommend improvements.
    • Contribute to continuous improvement of Talent Acquisition processes, systems, and assessment and selection approaches.
    • Ensure compliance with employment legislation and internal governance across jurisdictions.
Essential Experience & Skills
  • Proven talent acquisition experience within the data centre sector, infrastructure development, or complex capital delivery environments.
  • Demonstrated experience recruiting professional and commercial roles.
  • Strong understanding of data centre development lifecycles and the functions that support delivery beyond construction.
  • Experience hiring across Ireland and Europe.
  • Confident stakeholder manager, able to influence at senior and director level.
  • Strong sourcing capability for niche, technical, and senior professional profiles.
Desirable Experience
  • Experience supporting hyperscale or colocation developers/operators.
  • Exposure to CX project delivery models in mission critical environments.
  • Experience in organisations with rapid growth or large capital investment programmes.
  • Background in in house Talent Acquisition within engineering, infrastructure, or technology led environments.
  • A second European language, preferably Italian or Spanish.
