UNIQLO is recruiting for a Tailoring Specialist at our Edinburgh store!

We offer our customers exclusive repair services as part of our sustainability initiatives. We are building a team of passionate casual clothing enthusiasts with tailoring or customizing experience to join our growing team!

Key responsibilities:

• Welcome every customer with a friendly smile
• Provide exceptional service on all occasions
• Advise customers across all product categories
• Perform high-quality alterations of trousers, skirts, sleeves, and fix or replace zippers
• Engage in upcycling activities such as Sashiko and other techniques
• Understand alteration or repair requirements clearly to meet customer expectations
• Follow policies and procedures to ensure smooth operations and minimize loss
• Collaborate enthusiastically with team members and support each other to form a high-performing team
• Relay customer feedback about products and services to management for continuous improvement
• Maintain organized and tidy back-of-house areas
• Participate in activities that enhance the overall store experience and meet objectives

Essential skills and behaviors:

• At least 1+ year experience in sewing and finishing
• Strong team player with a bias for teamwork
• Excellent communication skills
• Effective time management skills
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and processes quickly
• Personable and service-focused attitude
• Professional and positive approach at all times
• Motivated to achieve results individually and as a team
• Enthusiasm for UNIQLO brand values and products
• Keen to build a career in retail
• Previous retail experience is a bonus but not essential

Job details:

• Contract: Permanent - Full time, 37.5 hours/week
• Shift pattern: 8.5-hour shifts including 1-hour unpaid meal break. Flexibility to work mornings and late shifts is required. Full weekend availability necessary.
• Start date: Immediate
