UNIQLO is recruiting for a Tailoring Specialist at our Edinburgh store!
We offer our customers exclusive repair services as part of our sustainability initiatives. We are building a team of passionate casual clothing enthusiasts with tailoring or customizing experience to join our growing team!
Key responsibilities:
- Welcome every customer with a friendly smile
- Provide exceptional service on all occasions
- Advise customers across all product categories
- Perform high-quality alterations of trousers, skirts, sleeves, and fix or replace zippers
- Engage in upcycling activities such as Sashiko and other techniques
- Understand alteration or repair requirements clearly to meet customer expectations
- Follow policies and procedures to ensure smooth operations and minimize loss
- Collaborate enthusiastically with team members and support each other to form a high-performing team
- Relay customer feedback about products and services to management for continuous improvement
- Maintain organized and tidy back-of-house areas
- Participate in activities that enhance the overall store experience and meet objectives
Essential skills and behaviors:
- At least 1+ year experience in sewing and finishing
- Strong team player with a bias for teamwork
- Excellent communication skills
- Effective time management skills
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and processes quickly
- Personable and service-focused attitude
- Professional and positive approach at all times
- Motivated to achieve results individually and as a team
- Enthusiasm for UNIQLO brand values and products
- Keen to build a career in retail
- Previous retail experience is a bonus but not essential
Job details:
- Contract: Permanent - Full time, 37.5 hours/week
- Shift pattern: 8.5-hour shifts including 1-hour unpaid meal break. Flexibility to work mornings and late shifts is required. Full weekend availability necessary.
