Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Systems Functional Architect (f/m) to join our Systems Design Methods & Tools based in Toulouse, France.
You will be part of a team developing digital solutions for the Aircraft Systems Design domain. As part of the Methods and Tools Team , you will be involved in the Digital Transformation and data-driven decision making aiming at enabling world-class Aircraft Product design that is secure and compliant .

Your challenges:
• Translate Aircraft System Designers' needs into functional requirements and rapidly prototype high-value, viable technical solutions.
• Industrialize prototypes by collaborating with IS/IT partners (Cybersecurity, Data governance) to deliver secure-by-design, compliant, and cost-efficient final solutions.
• Define and maintain the long-term consistency and evolution roadmap for solutions based on evolving aircraft design needs and industry digital standards.
• Conduct structured trade-off analyses between available technological options to establish a logical, value-driven basis for all design decisions.
• Champion the adoption of new, data-driven methodologies, ensuring users benefit from the latest state-of-the-art means in their daily work.
Your boarding pass:
• Master's degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience in Functional Architecture, IT Development, or Systems Engineering.
• IT Development: Required experience in designing and implementing multi-tool solutions .
• Architectural Modeling: Ability to model data and business activities using an enterprise architecture framework (e.g., Archimate3 ).
• Rapid Prototyping: Proven ability to quickly build working models for needs interpretation and solution assessment.
• Compliance Focus: Strong knowledge of secure development practices and an uncompromising mindset on compliance standards.
• Data Analytics: Beginner level knowledge of data analysis principles.
