Wintel System Engineer - Microsoft Defender for Cloud for Servers Expert

Mission Context & Objectives

Client is deploying Microsoft Defender for Cloud for Servers P1/P2 as part of its Tiber remediations and Lifecycle Management (LCM) for its Server Antivirus product. The goal is to ensure effective security implementation for all relevant systems.

Required Knowledge & Experience

Personal Skills (Soft Skills)

• Ability to work in a professional team under pressure.
• Strong communication skills, including technical writing.
• Autonomous, able to interact with business users effectively.
• Proven track record of meeting deadlines, planning, and organization.
• Documentation of projects and solutions.
• Change management-oriented mindset.

Technical Expertise (Mandatory)

• Deep expertise in Microsoft Defender for Cloud for Servers P1/P2 (Note: distinct from Defender for Endpoint).
• Enrollment and policy assignment for Defender for Cloud for Servers, covering:
• Hybrid-joined and non-hybrid joined servers.
• Windows Core Edition and Workgroup servers.
• Hands-on experience with large-scale deployments of Microsoft Defender for Cloud for Servers.
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerShell for automation and administration.
• Windows Server Management (2016, 2019, 2022).
• Microsoft Azure Arc Enrollment & Management.

Technical Expertise (Preferable)

• Experience with Red Hat Linux distribution.
• Familiarity with McAfee/Trellix Endpoint Security Platform.
• System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) deployment.
