# Swimming CoachOrganisation City of Hereford Swimming ClubContract Type Self-EmployedQualifications Coaching Swimming: Swimming Coach Certificate or Level 2 AwardWorking Hours Part timeLocation HerefordSalary negotioable depending on experienceClosing Date 17th March :59The City of Hereford Swimming Club, based in Hereford, is seeking a paid, part-time Swimming Coach to join our coaching team. We have a paid Head Coach and a large team of volunteers with qualifications ranging from Assistant Coach to Senior Coach who support training sessions.We have approximately 180 members across our swimmers and water polo players. Our swimmers range from those just entering competitive swimming from learn to swim programmes to swimmers competing at home nation national competitions. With increasing membership and an increase in the number of swimmers attending competitions, we need to expand our paid coaching team to ensure training continues. Training sessions take place at Hereford and Ross currently. We are also looking to increase our sessions at other nearby swimming pools.We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about swimming and shows commitment to expanding their knowledge. This would be demonstrated by successful completion of the Swim England Swimming Coach Certificate course and experience in coaching.As a Swim Mark-accredited club, we strive to provide a friendly, supportive environment where swimmers can feel safe while expanding their aquatic skills from the Fundamentals level to Train to Train.Your role would involve coaching across all the squads, from the academy to our senior swimmers. senior youth and masters. Essential skills would include: Excellent communication skills Awareness of different ways swimmers learn, to be able to demonstrate technique and provide feedback in a way that allows the swimmer to improve technically. Good knowledge of the technical aspects of swimming and competing. Ability to motivate, support and encourage swimmers of Swim England Safeguarding processes and maintain up-to-date training Excellent time management and organisation skills.The successful applicant would be required to provide coaching in Hereford and other sites; access to transport would be essential. Key Responsibilities : Liaise closely with Head Coach Assist in the delivery of sessions, providing cover when competitions cause volunteers and the Head Coach to be away Attend relevant galas/meets supporting and covering the Head Coach Complete the attendance register at sessionsThe successful applicant would be self-employed. The estimated hours are a maximum of 13 per week. The hourly rate is negotiable depending on experience.
