We are looking for a qualified social worker to support the provision of duty cover for our client's Family Support Teams, which will involve short-term work, covering visits, meetings, section 47 enquiries, and other tasks as needed. The role is not allocated to families on a long-term basis.

This is not an Intake role; the Family Support Teams support children and families on a longer-term basis, including children whose names are on the Child Protection Register and those in pre- and care proceedings.

This is an office-based role, 5 days a week. It is not hybrid.

About you:

• Driving license and ability to travel across the Vale of Glamorgan as needed
• Qualified and registered with Social Care Wales
• Experience in this area of practice to "hit the ground running"
• Kindness and strength-based working approach

To be considered, you must be registered with Social Care Wales, have at least 3 years post-qualifying experience as a social worker, and not have left a Local Authority permanent contract within Wales in the last 6 months.

What you need:

• A degree in Social Work or equivalent
• Registered with Social Care Wales/Social Work England
• Completed relevant post-qualifying training
• Enhanced DBS check
• Excellent communication and written skills
