The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a Consultant Orthodontist to support a specialist orthodontic service in the East Midlands.

This opportunity offers a long-term locum contract of 6-12 months, working within a structured Monday to Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm schedule. Flexible and part-time working arrangements will be considered.

The role is ideally suited to an experienced Consultant Orthodontist with expertise in fixed and removable orthodontic appliances, management of complex cases, and supervision of orthodontic therapists. You will join an established clinical team, delivering high-quality orthodontic treatment and supporting safe, effective patient care.

What You'll Be Doing

• Deliver specialist orthodontic assessment, treatment planning, and patient care
• Provide treatment using both fixed and removable orthodontic appliances
• Manage and treat complex 3B orthodontic cases
• Conduct outpatient clinics and elective treatment sessions
• Supervise and support Orthodontic Therapists within the service
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in accordance with NHS standards
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure excellent patient outcomes
• Contribute to the delivery of a safe, effective, and patient-focused orthodontic service

What We're Looking For

• GDC registration with a licence to practise
• Completion of a Post-CCT Fellowship in Orthodontics
• Experience with fixed and removable orthodontic appliances
• Competence in managing 3B orthodontic cases
• Ability to supervise Orthodontic Therapists
• Recent UK NHS Orthodontics experience
• Strong clinical judgement, communication, and professionalism
• Valid Right to Work in the UK (please note we do not offer visa sponsorship)
