Surface Technology SpecialistCertain Advantage is hiring for a Surface Technology Specialist based in the Filton area.This role is on a contract basis and is hybrid-based.The CompanyWe're working with a Manufacturing business that operates in the Aerospace sector. They design, manufacture and deliver industry-leading commercial aircraft, and separate Space and Defense division.Does this sound like your next career move?If you're ambitious to grow, this may be your next role?The Role:This role is for a Surface Technology Specialist/Materials Engineer-someone ambitious and ready to make an impact. You'll be results-oriented and driven to succeed.You'll be working in a small, experienced, and collaborative team, and be responsible for:

• Developing and deploying Materials, Processes and Test Technologies
• Providing corrosion protection, sealing concepts and solutions
• Ensuring reactive support for improvement projects
• Ensuring EHS regulations (REACh) thanks to eco-efficient materials and processes
• Adapting corrosion protection and sealing principles to a chromate-free environment.

The Individual We're looking for people who can show:

• Material Science, Chemistry, Chemical, Material Engineering or a similar field of expertise
• Relevant background in corrosion protection and surface technology applied in the aerospace industry
• Relevant background in aerospace materials, surface treatments, coatings, and sealants and manufacturing
