About The Housing Network

At The Housing Network (THN), we believe everyone deserves more than just a roof over their head. Our mission is to provide safe accommodation, specialist support and meaningful opportunities that help people rebuild their lives. We are a values-led organisation committed to delivering Better Accommodation, Better Support and Better Partnerships for people facing homelessness and other complex challenges.

About the Service

AOP Rise is a new dispersed safe accommodation service in Manchester supporting adult victims and survivors of domestic abuse with complex and intersecting needs, and their children where applicable. The service provides short-term accommodation alongside intensive specialist support, safety planning, recovery-focused interventions and move-on support to help people achieve independence and long term housing stability.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Supported Housing Manager to lead this important service. This is an exciting opportunity to shape a new provision that places safety, empowerment and recovery at its heart.

You will provide leadership and operational oversight across all aspects of the service, ensuring residents receive high quality, trauma informed and person centred support. You will be responsible for managing staff, safeguarding, quality assurance, occupancy, contract performance, budgets and partnerships while driving a culture of continuous improvement and positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

As Supported Housing Manager, you will:

  • Lead, motivate and develop a team delivering specialist support to survivors of domestic abuse and their families.
  • Ensure services are delivered using trauma informed, strengths based and psychologically informed approaches.
  • Oversee safeguarding, risk management and high risk domestic abuse cases, ensuring robust assessments and safety planning are in place.
  • Manage referrals, placements and occupancy across dispersed accommodation.
  • Support residents to progress towards sustainable housing, recovery and greater independence.
  • Monitor service quality, compliance, outcomes and KPI performance.
  • Manage budgets and resources effectively to ensure value for money and service excellence.
  • Develop strong partnerships with local authorities, domestic abuse services, police, health professionals and other stakeholders across Manchester.
About You

We are looking for a confident and experienced manager who is passionate about supporting people with complex needs.

You will have:

  • Experience managing supported housing, domestic abuse, homelessness or similar services.
  • Strong knowledge of domestic abuse, safeguarding, risk management and multi agency working.
  • Experience leading teams, developing staff and managing service performance.
  • Knowledge of trauma informed and person centred approaches.
  • Understanding of housing management, tenancy sustainment and move on planning.
  • Excellent communication, leadership and problem solving skills.
  • A commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion.
  • A full UK driving licence and company car & fuel card provided.
Why Join THN

This is an opportunity to lead a service that changes lives. You'll join a supportive organisation committed to innovation, collaboration and delivering outstanding services for people facing significant adversity. You'll have the chance to influence service development, support a dedicated team and make a lasting impact on survivors of domestic abuse and their families.
