Support Worker - Veterans - Complex Needs
Location: Honiton (supporting customers across Honiton & Exeter)
Pay: £15.34 per hour
Hours: 30 hours per week
Contract: 3-Month Temporary Assignment (to October 2026)
Working Pattern: Monday-Friday, with 1 Saturday in every 6

We're looking for a compassionate and proactive Support Worker to join a dedicated team supporting veterans and individuals who have experienced or are at risk of homelessness.

What you'll be doing:
- Managing a small caseload of 5-8 customers, allowing you to provide high-quality, person-centred support.
- Developing, reviewing and updating support plans and risk assessments.
- Supporting people with complex needs, including mental health, substance misuse and housing-related issues.
- Working closely with external agencies, landlords, healthcare professionals and support services.
- Promoting independence, wellbeing and positive outcomes for every individual you support.
- Maintaining accurate records and contributing to safeguarding and risk management processes.
- Experience supporting vulnerable adults or people with complex needs.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a supportive team.
- Confidence managing challenging situations with empathy and professionalism.
- Good literacy, numeracy and IT skills.
- Knowledge of housing-related support and safeguarding practices (desirable).
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant subject (desirable).
