Support Worker - Veterans & Complex Needs
Honiton & Exeter £15.34 Per Hour 30 Hours Per Week Temporary until End of October 2026

Pertemps is currently recruiting for a compassionate and motivated Support Worker to join our client on a temporary basis until the end of October 2026. This rewarding role offers the opportunity to make a genuine difference by supporting veterans and individuals who have experienced homelessness or are at risk of becoming homeless across the Honiton and Exeter area.
Working as part of a supportive and experienced team, you'll manage a small caseload of around 5-8 customers, allowing you the time to deliver personalised, high-quality support that empowers individuals to achieve greater independence.
The RoleAs a Support Worker, you will:

• Provide person-centred, solution-focused support to individuals with complex needs.
• Develop, review and update support plans and risk assessments.
• Work closely with external agencies, including mental health services, substance misuse teams, benefits services, landlords and education providers.
• Support customers to access housing, employment, training and other community services.
• Promote independence, wellbeing and positive outcomes for every individual.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to safeguarding best practice.

About YouWe're looking for someone who is passionate about supporting vulnerable people and enjoys building positive relationships. You will have:

• Experience supporting individuals with a range of complex or vulnerable needs.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• The ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the confidence to make informed decisions.
• Experience writing records, support plans or action plans.
• A good understanding of safeguarding and risk management.
• Good literacy and numeracy skills.

Desirable:

• Experience within housing support or homelessness services.
• Knowledge of benefits, employment or education support.
• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant subject.
• Previous experience working with vulnerable adults.
• Safeguarding qualifications.

Working Hours

• 30 hours per week
• Monday to Friday, plus one Saturday in every six

• Temporary contract until the end of October 2026
• Enhanced DBS required
• Based from Honiton with travel across Honiton and Exeter
• Immediate start available
