As part of investment within community services, Manchester EIS has additional funding to expand, creating an exciting time to join the service.

Opportunities have arisen for dynamic and compassionate Support Time and Recovery Workers (STR) to work within our South Manchester Early Intervention Team.

As an STR, you will work directly with service users and their carers to support and empower them to engage in their recovery/maintain independence.

Responsibilities
  • Establish therapeutic relationships to address goals helping service users access resources and services to connect with the local community.
  • Deliver mental and physical health interventions alongside the Occupational Therapist and in tandem with the Physical Health Pathway.
  • Establish and maintain positive therapeutic relationships with service users and their carers.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with colleagues within the Early Intervention Team.
  • Work under the direct supervision of Registered Social Workers, Registered OT's and Registered Nurses.
  • Develop plans to support recovery based on individual need.
  • Contribute to MDT meetings.
  • Promote and encourage independence and engagement within the local community.
  • Support the duty function of the team, by calling or visiting people already under our care, and supporting with some clinical tasks, such as supporting the team manager with allocations.
