Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust seeks a Support Time and Recovery (STAR) worker to support children and young people facing mental health challenges across the county. The closing date is 26 July 2026.

Main duties of the job

Your role is to provide child and young person recovery focused interventions to address complex care needs for those receiving therapy to deliver a recovery focused vision and support patient flow through the service.

The postholder will undertake specific identified recovery roles, under the guidance of the trained lead clinician, with a focus of intervention on:

• Enabling and relationship building to support and promote well-being by promoting connectivity, acceptance and supporting a child and young person focused journey through the service.
• Community working, considering social and environmental factors of health care provision, enabling conditions to access resources and address safety needs by working collaboratively with families and the network. This includes working to develop daily activities promoting social inclusion and supporting organisational commitment.
• Developing autonomy and empowerment for young people and families in receipt of CAMH Services by supporting in delivering personally defined recovery care planned interventions, promoting citizenship and supporting connectivity and empowerment.

To work within a multi-disciplinary team of CAMHS professionals in providing targeted recovery focused interventions as identified and care planned by the allocated lead clinician.

To work under the guidance of an allocated clinician to provide time limited task and goal focused recovery interventions to support with the delivery of an evidenced based therapeutic treatment plan.

Person Specification Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care and skills acquired through experience OR equivalent levels of experience or training working in a health or social care setting
