White Raven Resourcing Ltd are acting as a recruitment agency in relation to permanent and fixed term contract recruitment services.

Our client is seeking an experienced Support & Services Manager to act as the key interface between operational teams, customers, and aviation service providers. This is a senior role focused on supplier performance, air safety assurance, operational risk management, and continuous improvement across a complex aviation training environment.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring service providers deliver against contractual obligations while maintaining the highest standards of safety, compliance, operational performance, and stakeholder engagement.

Safety & Assurance
  • Provide independent oversight and assurance of aviation operations across customers, suppliers, and contractual stakeholders.
  • Monitor airworthiness matters, including regulatory directives, occurrence reporting, audit findings, and associated safety actions.
  • Ensure significant safety risks and operational concerns are identified, reported, and effectively mitigated.
  • Participate in safety forums and stakeholder meetings, supporting robust decision-making and risk management.
  • Maintain visibility of supplier safety performance and operational compliance.
  • Develop strong, collaborative relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to promote trust, transparency, and an enterprise culture.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all matters relating to aircraft service providers.
  • Provide clear and consistent technical communication to customers and stakeholders.
  • Build credibility as the lead interface for technical, engineering, safety, and operational matters.
  • Support effective collaboration between operational planning, engineering, commercial, and management teams.
Operational Performance
  • Work with senior management to optimise service delivery and minimise operational risk.
  • Align operational requirements with aircraft availability, maintenance plans, and training programme objectives.
  • Identify operational risks and opportunities early, supporting informed business decisions.
  • Drive process improvements and best practice across the supply chain.
  • Support compliance with both military and civil aviation regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with supplier contract performance monitoring and reconciliation activities.
  • Support financial risk assessment and contract performance management.
  • Lead productivity and efficiency initiatives that contribute to improved business performance and value generation.
Leadership & Culture
  • Act as a subject matter expert in safety and quality assurance.
  • Promote the effective use of quality and safety management systems.
  • Conduct audits and continuous improvement activities.
  • Champion diversity, inclusion, and a positive workplace culture.
  • Lead by example and demonstrate high levels of professionalism, integrity, and accountability.
Requirements
  • Strong engineering background within a Part 145 Maintenance Organisation or Part M/CAMO Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation .
  • Previous management experience within an aviation engineering, maintenance, airworthiness, or operational environment.
  • Experience in customer and supplier relationship management within complex operational organisations.
  • Proven ability to influence multiple stakeholders and build trusted working relationships.
  • Experience in operational, fleet, production, or maintenance planning environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make decisions based on risk and data.
Technical Knowledge
  • Good understanding of Air Safety Management Systems and risk management principles.

Knowledge of:

  • Part 145 regulations
  • Part M/CAMO requirements
  • Airworthiness management processes
  • Aircraft availability and service contracts
  • Ability to interpret contractual documentation and operational requirements.
  • Strong IT skills with experience analysing data to support decision-making.
