Duties:
  • Supporting the classroom teacher deliver engaging lessons
  • Support the teacher in preparing classroom materials
  • Work one to one with small groups
  • Supporting children with additional learning needs
  • Follow school procedures and policies
  • Create and maintain a positive learning environment
  • Provide feedback on pupil progress
Requirements of a teaching assistant:
  • Flexibility and adaptability
  • Minimum 3 days a week
  • Previous experience working with children (school-based experience desirable)
  • A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant) - desirable but not essential
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to manage behaviour effectively
