Supply Support Assistant

Veritas Education are looking for flexible, experienced, and hard-working individuals to join our team as Supply Support Assistants for Primary schools. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work across different schools in Leeds and surrounding areas. This position is ideal for anyone looking to gain new experience in the Education Sector or someone who is wanting to be flexible with their working patterns.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the teacher: Support the classroom teacher in delivering lessons and activities.
• Supervise students: Ensure the safety and well being of students during class and other activities.
• Individual Support: Provide assistance to students who may require additional help.
• Manage Resources: Help organise and manage classroom materials and resources.
• Maintain a positive learning environment: Contribute to creating a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
• Communicate with parents: Share relevant information with parents and caregivers when necessary.

Requirements:

• Experience: Previous experience working with children and young people is desirable but not a necessity.
• Qualifications: A relevant educational qualification or a willingness to undertake training as required.
• DBS Check: A valid DBS check or the willingness to apply and pay for one upon successful registration.
• Communication Skills: Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively within a team of educators.
