Job Description

Based in Dublin reporting directly to the Supply Chain Manager, the Senior Supply Planner is responsible for effectively managing demand and supply for commercially critical molecules for Global Markets and Global Supply Sites. The role oversees inventory management and product supply from internal suppliers, working within a larger team of supply planners to service markets in the EU, Australia, New Zealand, and emerging markets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and update master data and planning parameters in Rapid Response and SAP to produce best supply plans.
  • Monitor and maintain reason codes for out-of-stocks and document corrective action plans per SKU.
  • Firm market requirements based on planning parameters (demand, safety stock, MOQ, etc.) to minimize out-of-stocks.
  • Ensure firmed supply plans and purchase orders are executed on time by suppliers.
  • Develop and execute supply plans when upstream constraints exist (materials, site capacities) while adhering to internal guidelines to provide optimal plans for each market.
  • Manage bulk inventory at internal and external packaging sites, preventing bulk obsolescence and meeting market requirements and commitments.
  • Agree on and monitor supplier delivery dates and drive escalation when issues arise.
  • Maintain market inventory in line with agreed inventory strategies with senior supply chain leads.
  • Determine shipping modes in alignment with business strategy, minimize air transport, and monitor reasons for air shipments.
  • Track market demand changes month on month, analyze drivers, and explain changes to stakeholders as required.
  • Support and deliver company and department goals and objectives as needed.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Proven relevant supply chain or manufacturing experience.
  • Qualification in a business related discipline or supply chain.
  • Prior Rapid Response and/or SAP experience is a distinct advantage.
  • Strong planning and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead planning process development and rollout.
  • Change leadership skills and adaptability within Viatris culture.
