Supply Chain Specialist

Acquisitions Systems Ltd are looking for a proactive and analytical Supply Chain Specialist to join our operations team. This is a hands on role focused on managing supplier performance, mitigating supply chain risks, and supporting long term supply continuity across highly regulated pharmaceutical and defence environments.
Our products are used in monitoring and control systems across pharmaceutical, NHS, and life sciences sectors, as well as general engineering and military applications - so reliability, compliance, and attention to detail are critical to everything we do.
The Role
This is a varied and engaging position where you will play a key role in ensuring continuity of supply while supporting the ongoing development and improvement of supply chain operations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Monitoring and coordinating end to end supply chain activities to ensure continuity of critical supply
- Managing supplier performance, including delivery, quality, and cost metrics
- Supporting the negotiation, implementation, and governance of long term supply agreements
- Identifying and mitigating supply chain risks across global and regulated environments
- Collaborating with production, projects, quality, and logistics teams to align supply with demand
- Tracking and analysing supply chain KPIs and supporting continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintaining accurate ERP system data and supporting reporting and analysis
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory, quality, and operational standards, including GMP/GDP where applicable
You will bring a proactive and solutions focused approach, with strong analytical skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment. You'll be confident building effective supplier and stakeholder relationships while contributing to operational improvements and long term supply strategies.

- Previous experience in a supply chain, procurement, or purchasing role
- Experience managing suppliers and supporting contract delivery
- Strong analytical and reporting skills, including Microsoft Excel and ERP systems
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Understanding of supply chain risk management and mitigation strategies
- Experience working in regulated industries such as pharmaceutical, defence, aerospace, or similar
- Experience supporting or leading supplier contract negotiations
- Knowledge of GMP, GDP, or other relevant regulatory frameworks
- Familiarity with international logistics, import/export, and customs processes
- Experience using Sage 200 ERP and Sicon modules
- Exposure to inventory planning or demand forecasting
- Continuous improvement mindset or experience with Lean / Six Sigma methodologies
