Role SummaryAs a Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for developing, managing and optimising a programme supply chain to ensure specialist suppliers, resources and services are available to support delivery requirements. Working collaboratively with clients, delivery partners and suppliers, you will help establish a high-performing supply chain capable of operating effectively within a highly regulated and secure environment.
Responsibilities Supply Chain Development & Management- Develop and maintain an integrated supply chain aligned to programme delivery requirements.
- Build and manage relationships with Tier 1, Tier 2, Tier 3 and SME suppliers.
- Identify specialist capability gaps and develop sourcing strategies to address them.
- Support implementation of supply chain strategy and supplier relationship frameworks.
- Act as a key interface between programme teams and the supplier community.
- Organise and facilitate supplier forums, collaboration events and focus groups.
- Promote early supplier engagement and collaborative problem-solving.
- Work across multiple delivery partners to create a joined-up supplier community.
- Lead supplier onboarding and mobilisation activities.
- Work with security, commercial and operational teams to streamline supplier access processes.
- Ensure supplier mobilisation aligns with programme milestones and delivery requirements.
- Support procurement pipeline development, supplier capacity planning and market engagement activities.
- Monitor supplier performance against agreed KPIs.
- Support supplier audits, assurance activities and contract review meetings.
- Implement corrective action plans and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain performance dashboards and provide governance reporting, risk updates and supply chain insights.
You will bring extensive experience in supply chain, procurement or supplier management, ideally gained within highly regulated industries such as nuclear, defence, infrastructure or other security-sensitive environments. You will have a proven track record of mobilising suppliers, managing supplier relationships and performance, and working collaboratively across multiple organisations and stakeholder groups. A strong understanding of procurement planning, supplier governance and NEC4 contracts is essential, along with the ability to operate effectively in complex environments where quality, compliance and delivery are critical to success.
QualificationsDegree, HNC/HND, or equivalent professional experience in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Engineering, Commercial Management or Business Management.
