Supply Chain Manager

A rapidly expanding FMCG manufacturer is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to lead its end-to-end supply chain operation at a key Midlands site.

This is a pivotal leadership role within a growing manufacturing environment, responsible for driving performance across planning, purchasing, inventory control, customer service and operational co-ordination. The successful candidate will lead and develop a dedicated team, ensuring production is aligned to demand while maintaining service, cost and compliance standards.

You will take full ownership of the supply chain function, ensuring efficient production planning and material availability to meet customer requirements and forecast demand. Working closely with operations, finance, quality and commercial teams, you will strengthen processes, improve lead times and enhance overall supply performance.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading, developing and managing the supply chain team, including performance management and recruitment
• Driving production planning and scheduling to ensure on-time, in-full delivery
• Overseeing purchasing and raw material management, including minimum/maximum stock levels
• Managing inventory control, physical counts, variance investigation and reporting
• Leading S&OP and MRP processes to ensure accurate demand and supply alignment
• Monitoring and improving supplier and distribution partner performance
• Supporting new product introductions to ensure launch timelines are met
• Enhancing customer service communication and order fulfilment processes
• Establishing and improving supply chain policies, systems and performance metrics

5-7+ years' experience in a supply chain leadership role within FMCG or food manufacturing

Proven people management experience, with the ability to lead, develop and motivate teams

Strong background in production planning within a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Solid understanding of demand forecasting, inventory control and supply management processes

Commercially aware, analytical and confident working cross-functionally

Comfortable operating on-site in a hands on leadership capacity
