We are seeking an experienced Senior Procurement & Supply Chain Specialist to play a pivotal role in delivering complex, high-value procurement activities across bespoke projects in the civil decommissioning and fuels sector.
Location: Warrington (hybrid working available). Sector: Defence / Engineering.
We are recruiting a Senior Procurement & Supply Chain Specialist to play a leading role within the Defence business area, delivering both strategic and operational value across a portfolio of major projects. This is an opportunity to work at a senior level, shaping procurement and supply chain strategies that impact critical national programmes.
Key Responsibilities- Leading procurement and supply chain support to a portfolio of projects.
- Managing and developing a team of procurement professionals across the portfolio.
- Building strategic relationships with senior stakeholders and clients to support business growth.
- Driving the development and execution of supply chain strategies and supplier performance management.
- Providing specialist subcontracting and strategic advice on major work packages.
- Leading negotiations on major work packages to secure optimal commercial and contractual arrangements.
- Managing supply chain risk and ensuring compliance with governance requirements.
- Delivering innovation and added value from suppliers to improve outcomes across cost, quality, safety, and delivery.
- Strong background in procurement and supply chain management within defence, engineering, or other highly regulated project environments.
- Significant experience of managing complex contracts, including NEC3, EPC subcontracts, and major supplier agreements.
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage procurement across multiple projects simultaneously.
- Advanced stakeholder management and influencing skills, with experience working across complex organisations.
- Strong commercial acumen, with experience in cost modelling, financial analysis, audits, and forecasting.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver innovation and value through supplier relationships.
Salary of £72-85k depending on experience.
Hybrid working with regular presence required in the North West.
