Supplier Quality Engineer

Recruit4staff are representing a leading manufacturing business in their search for a Supplier Quality Engineer to work across the UK. Our client is based across Woking & Bicester, but there will be UK based travel on a regular basis.

• Pay: Up to £40 per hour Outside IR35 (Limited) - Depending on experience
• Hours of Work: 8.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday
• Duration: Rolling contract

Job Role - Supplier Quality Engineer

• Conduct supplier process & quality assessments
• Support supplier development and improvement initiatives
• Acting as an extension of the Clients Customers quality teams
• Supporting suppliers during new product launches
• Supporting critical programmes and helping customers achieve their quality & delivery objectives
• Providing on site support at customer locations where required
• This role will involve travelling to customers across the Country, so you MUST be willing to travel as part of this role
• Maintain accurate reports
• Review and monitor quality planning activities including APQP and PPAP
• 8D problem solving
• Validate implementation of corrective actions
• Participate in launch readiness reviews and production validation activities

Essential Skills Experience, or Qualifications

• A good level of experience within Automotive Supplier Quality
• Experience working within OEM / Tier 1 Manufacturing environments
• Strong understanding of PPAP and APQP
• Experience in conducting supplier assessments / audits
• Proven problem solving capabilities using structured methodologies and tools
• Driving Licence and own vehicle
• Willingness to Travel

Desired Skills Experience, or Qualifications

• Experience supporting Launch or Industrialisation activities
• Knowledge of IATF 16949 requirements
• Experience in 1 or more of the following: Composites, Powertrain & Machining, Electrical systems, Mechatronics, Interior Trim, External Trim
