Your Role

Are you someone who thrives on connecting with others? Do you have a passion for cultural exchange, hosting events and exploring iconic destinations? Join EF (Education First) Bournemouth International Language Campus as an Activity Leader this summer, and play a key role in helping international students create lifelong memories this summer!

  • Dates available: contract between June-August
  • Possibility of accommodation in return for residence duties
  • Potential for full time employment post summer
Responsibilities
  • Lead groups of international students on a variety of activities and events within Bournemouth and day trips across the wider UK
  • Research excursion destinations, lead a guided tour at the destination and give interesting information and facts to students
  • Create a lively atmosphere during excursions, delivering excellent customer service
  • Take responsibility for health and safety of all students, including completing and adhering to risk assessments and emergency procedures in line with EF policy and procedures
  • Liaise with co leaders and the Activities and Events Manager to discuss how to improve future activities and give a thorough handover after each activity or event to aid future planning
  • Attend and assist with large events and parties
  • Ensure the EF Student Code of Conduct is followed by all students at all times and inform management immediately if there are any issues or problems
Requirements
  • Highly motivated, energetic and positive with a sociable personality
  • Confident in leading and managing large groups of students
  • Highly organised and thorough, able to use initiative and work unsupervised
  • Interest in history and tour guiding
  • A team player, happy to work in collaboration with others
  • Ability to handle difficult situations with ease and remain calm under pressure
  • Customer service minded and quality oriented
  • Aware and appreciative of cultural differences
  • Excellent communicator with students, colleagues, and external clients
  • Flexible approach to work and hours of work undertaken is essential
  • Fluency in English
  • All offers subject to a clear enhanced DBS check and two references
  • Right to work in the UK on commencement of employment
