About the Schools

Our partner secondary schools across Middlesbrough are forward-thinking, ambitious environments where subject expertise is highly valued. You'll be teaching your specialist subject to students across a range of year groups and ability sets, planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the curriculum. We are currently seeking teachers across a wide range of subjects including Maths, English, Science, Geography, History, Modern Foreign Languages, Design Technology, Art, PE, and more.

Assignment Details

We are recruiting Subject Specialist Teachers across three types of availability - so whether you want total flexibility or something more structured, we can find the right fit:

  • Day-to-day supply - flexible, ad hoc bookings across Middlesbrough schools
  • Short-term contracts - planned cover for periods of staff absence
  • Long-term placements - ongoing roles with the opportunity to become a familiar face in school

This is a full-time or part-time role, Monday to Friday. Roles are available for an immediate start.

Person Specification
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent - Desired
  • A degree in your specialist subject or a closely related discipline
  • Proven ability to plan and deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned lessons across multiple year groups and ability sets
  • Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students quickly
  • Experience working in a secondary school setting - supply or permanent experience both welcomed
  • Current DBS on the update service, or willing to apply for a new one
