Student assistant (Civil engineering)
Studying civil engineering and looking for a part-time role that is actually relevant to your degree, with flexible hours and fully remote? OI GmbH is a Swiss software company developing structural engineering calculation tools. We build web-based applications and AxisVM plugins for structural verifications according to Swiss standards (SIA, TWK) and Eurocode, used by engineers across Switzerland and Europe. We are looking for a student assistant to support our quality assurance process on an hourly basis.
Responsibilities
As a student assistant, you will:
Test our calculation software against defined test cases and document the results.
Review technical documentation and engineering formulas for plausibility and correctness.
Perform manual structural calculations to verify software output.
Report findings in a structured and reproducible way.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has:
Enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's program in civil or structural engineering at a Swiss university or university of applied sciences.
Solid understanding of statics, structural analysis and reinforced concrete design.
A precise, structured and independent working style.
Good written communication skills in English and German.
Interest in software, digital tools and the modernisation of engineering workflows.
