Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled Structural Engineer to join our established UK-based consultancy team and grow their career with Wintech.

The Opportunity

Outstanding opportunity for a Structural Engineer to join our rapidly expanding team in our St Albans office. The candidate should have a minimum of 2 years' experience in structural consultancy, be passionate about creative design, willing to learn, and have a desire to face structural challenges. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to join our graduation program and work towards chartership.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Demonstrate working knowledge of the design process
  • Undertake 3D analyses and structural calculations
  • Support and collaborate within the team, mentoring graduate members
  • Deliver high-quality design calculations and drawings
  • Manage time and budget scope assigned to projects
  • Create structurally sound solutions that protect the environment
  • Conduct site visits, make observations, and provide inspection reports

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering
  • Graduate membership and tracking record of IStructE or ICE is advantageous
  • Excellent understanding of structural engineering design materials
  • Working experience with RC frames is an advantage
  • Knowledge of industry-standard software such as Tedd's/Tekla Structural Designer, SCIA, RAM Structural System, Master Series, AutoCAD, Revit
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Working knowledge of current regulations and standards
  • Commitment to continuing professional development to stay updated with new technologies, materials, and construction methods
