Role OverviewThe Strategy Manager will support the Director of Strategy and M&A in driving strategic growth initiatives and plans across the Climate Control sector globally. This role will focus on the execution of organic growth projects, including market analysis, competitor tracking, strategic planning and cross-functional project management. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, analytical, and collaborative professional with a passion for driving results and business transformation.
Key Responsibilities Strategic Project Execution- Lead the development and execution of the 5-year strategic plan, coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver consistent strategies in sales, marketing, product management, operations, finance, and commercial excellence.
- Drive organization-wide change initiatives, fostering a high-performance team culture and driving sustainable transformation (including the strategic plan, focussed business verticals, go to market refinement, footprint optimization, regional execution, value proposition development and support for product launches).
- Act as the project manager for key strategic projects supporting business transformation and execution across the residential, commercial and data centre construction markets.
- Become the point of contact for market intelligence, working closely with regional, functional & corporate teams to assess and inform market size and growth forecasts, market share, legislation, competition, technology and product trends
- Conduct market, peer, and competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities
- Map portfolio opportunities and develop business cases for new product launches
- Responsible for delivering comprehensive performance reports on strategy execution, including financial outcomes across geographies and product categories, market share evolution, and progress on strategic initiatives-providing actionable insights through strategic performance review analysis
- Collaborates in the preparation of Capital Markets Day and other Investor Relations events with IMI PLC leadership, ensuring strategic alignment and clarity in external communications
- 4-8 years of experience in top tier strategy consulting, business development, product management or market research, ideally with a focus on sustainability and efficiency in the industrial, construction or manufacturing sectors.
- Able to foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Works closely with internal stakeholders across functions, cultures and geographies.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, data-driven mindset and deep understanding of performance dynamics in building construction, HVAC, automation and/or the controls industry.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects and cross-functional teams.
- High level of integrity, customer focus, and purpose-driven mindset.
- Experience in M&A, venture development, corporate partnerships is an advantage.
- Fluent in English, with additional languages a plus.
- Bachelor and/or Master's degree in Business Administration, Strategy, Economics, Engineering, Architecture or a related field.
