This role reports to our Strategic Projects Lead and is all about how we lead on and coordinate projects related to the transformation to become a customer centric organisation. Job Description Job title: Strategic Projects Manager, Insurance, Pensions & Investments Location: Edinburgh Salary: £59,850 - £66,500 Hours: Full time (35 hours per week) Working Pattern: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites. About this opportunity: In this role, you'll be responsible for managing and driving high-impact strategic projects that align with the organisation's goal of becoming a customer centric organisation and support our ambition of digitally transforming IP&I. This role involves leading cross-functional project teams, coordinating inputs and assessing data to build business cases, tell impactful stories and partner manage at the most senior levels to ensure projects are managed to successful outcomes. What you'll be doing: Strategic Alignment: Develop project plans that support the organisation's long-term goals and priorities. Partner Engagement: Collaborate with senior leaders to align project outcomes with business needs and secure necessary support. Team Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration, accountability, and high performance. Risk & Performance Management: Identify risks, implement mitigation strategies, and monitor progress against key performance indicators. Continuous Improvement: Promote process enhancements and embed best practices to drive efficiency and innovation.If you think all banks are the same, you'd be wrong. What you'll need: Background in Financial Services: Demonstrated experience working in a financial services, regulated environment, ideally within Insurance. Leadership & Team Management: Strong ability to lead, empower, and manage cross-functional teams to achieve project goals. Strategic & Analytical Thinking: Skilled at aligning projects with business objectives and making data-informed decisions. Communication & Partner Engagement: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively at all levels. Project Management Expertise: Proven track record of successfully delivering strategic projects across complex environments, with experience in using project management tools and methodologies to drive efficiency and results. Adaptability & Multitasking: Comfortable managing multiple priorities in dynamic, fast-paced settings.
