Join our Corporate Procurement Team, where you'll play a key role in supporting our Housing Teams, helping to deliver high-quality services to our Tenants and residents.

Brighton & Hove City Council is part of Orbis Procurement, a shared service partnership with Surrey and East Sussex County Councils. Together, we manage over £2bn in external spend - from software and social care to cleaning supplies and sports equipment.

You'll lead and be the core advisory for a range of procurement projects in Housing, helping to secure goods, works, and services that meet the needs of our community - all while shaping the future of public service delivery.
We're looking for a proactive, solutions-focused professional with a passion for public service, someone able to balance priorities through innovation and strategic leadership.
You will:
- bring commercial and procurement experience, strong communication skills, problem-solving skills, and a collaborative approach to working with stakeholders.
- understand the public sector landscape - and how this affects purchasing strategies and practices - and be eager to drive value, innovation, and social impact.
- champion ethical and sustainable procurement practices that align with council values and community priorities.
- lead complex procurement projects with confidence, navigating regulatory frameworks and delivering results that make a difference.
- be a strategic thinker who can translate data and insights into actionable improvements across procurement processes.

Additional informationYour starting salary will be pro-rata if the position is less than 37 hours or term-time only.
