About the Role:

AlphaSense is seeking a Senior Director of Strategic Initiatives to lead and scale high impact, cross functional growth strategies, with a core focus on driving AlphaSense's international expansion efforts. This is a senior level role with enterprise wide visibility and influence, directly responsible for shaping and executing the company's global footprint and ensuring sustained success in new and emerging markets.

As a key leader within the Strategic Initiatives team, you will also support a range of strategic priorities-such as go to market innovation, new product commercialization, segment and persona optimization, and M&A integration-ensuring these initiatives deliver maximum value across our global markets. You'll work closely with executive leaders across Revenue, Marketing, Product, Finance, and Operations to unlock growth and strengthen AlphaSense's global market leadership.

This role is ideal for a bold, thoughtful, and highly strategic operator who thrives in a fast paced, dynamic environment and brings a global mindset to problem solving and execution.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead AlphaSense's International Expansion Strategy: Own the strategy, roadmap, and execution of AlphaSense's entry and growth in Europe and APAC. This includes identifying priority markets, establishing scalable go to market and operational models, and aligning executive stakeholders to expansion goals.
  • Ensure Unified Global Execution: Responsible for ensuring AlphaSense operates as one business in our global markets, creating coherence across segments, functions, and geographies to deliver a seamless, aligned experience to customers and employees alike.
  • Define and Elevate Platform Market Fit: Identify what it takes for AlphaSense to win in each market-from critical product functionality to region specific content-and work cross functionally to ensure we're delivering a differentiated, high impact solution that aligns with local customer needs.
  • Act as a Strategic Advisor to Senior Leadership: Bring strategic rigor and market insight to the most critical decisions facing the company, with a particular focus on international growth. You'll help shape AlphaSense's long term success by contributing to high impact decisions that span product, go to market, and operational strategy.
  • Drive Alignment and Execution Across Functions: Act as a connective force across senior GTM leadership in EMEA and APAC, ensuring AlphaSense operates as one business across international markets. You'll be accountable for driving strategic initiatives that directly support regional revenue goals and long term market success.
  • Establish KPIs and Operational Cadence: Define success metrics, build tracking and reporting frameworks, and implement regular business reviews to ensure accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Shape the Future of AlphaSense's Operating Model: Influence how AlphaSense scales globally by helping shape org design, operational processes, and commercial models that support long term growth.
Who You Are:
  • Proven Global Strategist: You've successfully led large scale strategic programs, particularly around international growth and market entry across EMEA and/or APAC. You understand how to navigate regulatory landscapes, local buyer behavior, competitive dynamics, and operational complexity in diverse global regions.
  • High Impact Operator: You move from strategy to execution with ease. You're comfortable owning end to end delivery of major initiatives and influencing C level stakeholders to align resources and priorities.
  • Executive Level Communicator: You know how to synthesize complexity, distill insight from data, and communicate clearly and persuasively to senior internal audiences.
  • Cross Functional Leader: You excel at aligning teams and driving accountability across functions. You've worked within matrixed organizations and know how to lead without explicit authority, creating a shared sense of purpose and momentum.
  • Customer Led Thinker: You have a deep understanding of our customer base and have built strategy grounded in buyer insight, user behavior, and evolving market needs, with a sharp eye for how those dynamics differ across local markets.
  • Entrepreneurial and Adaptive: You're energized by fast moving environments and excel at finding clarity and opportunity in evolving situations. You're resourceful, action oriented, and skilled at driving momentum even without a perfectly defined path.
  • Data Driven Decision Maker: You understand the financial implications of strategic bets. You're fluent in building business cases, running scenario models, and presenting clear investment recommendations.
