Job Description

As aStrategic Buyer, you will play a pivotal role in delivering successful projects by leading supply chain and procurement activities from tender stage through to final project execution. Working closely with Sales, Engineering, Project Management and Supply Chain teams, you will help strengthen our market competitiveness by identifying the right suppliers, negotiating optimal commercial terms, and ensuring cost-effective, high-quality delivery.

This role offers the opportunity to work across a diverse range of projects, technologies and customer sectors, making a direct impact on project performance, customer satisfaction, and business success.

How You'll Make an Impact
  • Lead, coordinate and report on all sourcing and procurement activities throughout the tendering and project execution lifecycle.
  • Define and implement project procurement strategies and processes aligned with project objectives and business requirements.
  • Develop, maintain and execute comprehensive Project Procurement Plans.
  • Manage supplier selection, commercial negotiations, order placement and delivery schedules to support on-time project delivery and cost control.
  • Build, develop and maintain a strong supplier network while identifying and mitigating supply chain risks.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality concerns, manage claims and drive continuous performance improvement.
  • Monitor, track and forecast procurement savings initiatives, spend performance and key sourcing KPIs.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution across all project supply chain activities.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within procurement and supply chain management.
Your Background
  • Experience managing end-to-end procurement and supply chain activities within a project-driven environment.
  • Strong commercial, contractual and technical understanding, with the ability to balance cost, quality and delivery requirements.
  • Degree qualification in a technical, engineering, supply chain, business or commercial discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Proven experience supporting complex projects and working with multiple stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of industrial, engineering or energy-related products and technologies would be advantageous.
  • Experience in supplier management, sourcing, negotiation and contract execution.
  • Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills.
  • SAP experience would be an advantage.
