Storesperson

Location: Guildford
Contract: 6 Months
Hours: Full-Time
We are currently seeking a reliable and organised Storesperson to join a busy Council depot on a 6-month contract. This role will support the efficient management of stock, materials, tools, and equipment used by operational and maintenance teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Receiving, checking, and booking in deliveries.
• Picking, issuing, and distributing materials and equipment.
• Maintaining accurate stock records and inventory levels.
• Loading and unloading vehicles safely.
• Operating a forklift truck to move and store goods.
• Carrying out regular stock checks and maintaining a tidy stores environment.
• Delivering materials to various council sites as required.
• Adhering to all health and safety procedures.

Requirements

• Previous experience within a stores, warehouse, or depot environment.
• Valid Forklift Truck (FLT) licence.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Good organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience using stock control systems is desirable.
