About the role
Tesco: 9 months secondment opportunity
Contract: Temporary
Shift Pattern: Varies from day to day but are planned in advance

Should you be successful in your application, your offer will be conditional upon providing your bank account details before your start date.

You will be responsible for:

  1. Recruiting and training the best people for your team, developing their operational and leadership skills.
  2. Coaching your team to be passionate and knowledgeable about the products, building the store's brand, and providing excellent customer service.
  3. Leading trade activity to grow sales and maximize profit.
  4. Building your managers' knowledge to deliver the Store Change Plan and resource planned activities effectively.
  5. Ensuring store safety and legal trading by coaching the team on security tools.

You will need:

  • Excellent communication skills, sharing knowledge and working collaboratively.
  • A welcoming attitude towards customers, building strong relationships.
  • Energy and resilience to work in challenging environments, making quick decisions for the benefit of customers and colleagues.
  • Drive to exceed expectations, inspiring confidence and acting ethically.
  • An awareness of competitors and a proactive approach to improving the store.
