About the role

Tesco:

Contract: Permanent

Shift Pattern: Varies from day to day but are planned in advance

You will be responsible for
  1. Recruiting and training the best people for your team, ensuring they have the capability to deliver above and beyond in their role by developing their operational and leadership skills.
  2. Coaching your team to be passionate and knowledgeable about the products in your store, building its brand and providing customers with the right range, quality, and service to ensure they keep coming back.
  3. Leading your team in driving trade activity, using your expertise and knowledge to grow sales and maximize profit.
  4. Building your managers' knowledge to deliver and sustain the Store Change Plan and resource planned activities, ensuring optimal staffing to benefit customers, and resolving root cause issues with sustainable solutions.
  5. Prioritizing the safety of your colleagues by coaching your team to use all security tools available, maintaining a safe working environment.
You will need
  • Excellent communication skills to share knowledge, experience, and best practices, working collaboratively to deliver results.
  • A welcoming and approachable manner with customers, listening and understanding to build strong relationships.
  • Energy and resilience to maintain momentum in challenging environments, making quick, customer-focused decisions.
  • Drive and commitment to exceed expectations, inspiring confidence and maintaining high standards, regardless of circumstances.
  • An awareness of competitors' activities and a proactive approach to implementing initiatives to improve our store for customers.
