Job Title: Steel Erector

Location: Peterborough, Cambridgeshire

Salary: £14 - £16 + Overtime (Enhanced rate)

Monday - Thursday (Friday optional overtime day)

Immediate - Permanent position

With a focus on innovation and craftsmanship, they strive to exceed expectations in every project they undertake. We are currently seeking skilled and dedicated Steel Erector to join the team. As a Steel Erector, you will play a crucial role in the process by safely and efficiently erecting steel structures for modular homes according to technical drawing and designs.

Your Responsibilities:

• Read technical drawings to determine the layout and dimensions of steel structures for modular homes.
• Work closely with the fitting team to ensure seamless integration of steel structures into the modular home assembly process.
• Operating hand and power tools to cut, weld, and bolt steel components.
• Hoist steel beams, columns, and other structural elements into place within the modular home framework.
• Ensuring that all safety procedures are always followed, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Conduct quality inspections to verify structures are installed correctly and meet project requirements.
• Follow project deadlines to ensure timely completion of work.

What we need from you:

• Previous experience as a Steel Erector or similar role in the industry, with specific experience in modular home construction preferred.
• Proficiency in reading Technical drawings and specifications
• Strong knowledge of steel erection techniques, equipment, and safety procedures.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
